2004
Children's Miracle Network Celebration
It’s time for Celebration! This year, we are
combining our celebration of Rainbow’s “miracle children” and our
leading Children’s Miracle Network sponsors in a special way with
our broadcast partner, WEWS NewsChannel 5. Instead of doing a live
local broadcast at the hospital, we will air 8 individual “miracle
child” stories, each recognizing and thanking one of our top
fundraising CMN sponsors for 2003. These stories will be told
solely by the patient families and the Rainbow doctors involved in
their survival. Physicians featured in this year’s stories are
Doctors Melvin Berger, Al Cohen, Ira Davis, Hani Hennein, Cliff
Megerian, Eileen Stork, George Thompson, and Matt Warman. The
stories will air every Tuesday and Thursday in June during a local
commercial break for “The Oprah Winfrey Show”, which airs from 4pm
to 5pm on NewsChannel 5.
These same children will be highlighted in a
series of news stories that will air during the 5pm or 6pm news
shows on NewsChannel 5 from May 30th through June 6th.
Three “miracle maker” stories will also run on NewsChannel 5 June
1-3 during “Good Morning Cleveland” from 5am-7am. These stories
will feature John’s Wishing Well, the “Virtual Visitation” program,
and the Critical Care transport team.
The national CMN broadcast will air on
Saturday, June 5th from 1pm to 4pm and Sunday, June 6th
from 2pm to 4pm on NewsChannel 5. The national broadcast will also
feature local CMN fundraising and our local miracle children
stories.
The Development Department at Rainbow hopes you
will tune in and enjoy!
Children's Miracle Network is committed to raising funds and awareness for 172 children's
hospitals across North America. All funds raised locally, stay local. Therefore, all donations
in the greater Cleveland area benefit Rainbow.
